Swiss-Belhotel International Launches in Switzerland

Swiss-Belhotel International, the global hospitality management chain, has reached another major milestone in its global expansion strategy with the signing of its inaugural property in Switzerland.

Hotel de Parc, which is the leading upscale hotel in the charming city of Baden, just 25km northwest of Zurich, will now be rebranded as Swiss-Belhotel Du Parc, Baden, following the signing of a management agreement with the hotel’s owner, Hotel du Parc Baden AG of Baden.

“For more than 30 years, Swiss-Belhotel International has successfully blended Swiss professionalism with Asian warmth in destinations across the globe. We are now delighted to introduce our truly unique brand of global hospitality to guests in Switzerland. Swiss-Belhotel Du Parc, Baden is an exceptional hotel that has already established itself as the leading destination for travellers in this captivating city,” said Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International.

“Hotel du Parc AG is the perfect partner, combining in-depth local market knowledge and best-in-class operating practices. We look forward to working with them and bringing this impressive property into an exciting new era of international hospitality,” he added.

Nested close to Baden’s Limmat River, next to the Langmatt Museum, Kurtheater, Kurpark, Grand Casino and just a few hundred metres from the city’s train station, Swiss-Belhotel Du Parc, Baden is perfectly positioned for all visitors to this scenic Swiss city. Baden is a regular stop on the railway line connecting Zürich with Bern, the Swiss capital and points east. The hotel enjoys stunning views of the vineyards and hillside across the Limmat River from many of its rooms.

Guests are offered a choice of 107 contemporary rooms and suites, all featuring sleek wooden floors, modern décor, working desks, refreshing bathrooms and modern amenities, including exceptional Wi-Fi. Single, double or twin bed options are available. The Family Rooms can accommodate up to four guests and the top Suite even comes equipped with an outdoor terrace and private whirlpool.

Elements, the hotel’s main restaurant, showcases creative Swiss cuisine, including an extensive calendar of culinary events such as winter fondue parties on the patio. During the summer months, the expansive Elements Terrace is a popular spot for locals (and visitors) to mingle in the shade of the property’s 120-year-old beech tree.

Swiss-Belhotel Du Parc will continue to be Baden’s leading destination for conferences and events. A collection of 13 onsite meeting rooms (all with natural light) can accommodate up to 120 people, while the terrace and garden lounge provide exquisite settings for wedding receptions and cocktail parties. In addition, the 2,500-delegate Trafo Congress Hall is located just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Guests can also access professional services at the hotel’s business corner, and a complimentary bicycle service allows visitors to head out and explore Baden’s beautiful scenery. An underground car park is also available.

Named after the German word for “baths”, Baden is a charming city nestled in the Limmat Valley, in the Canton of Aargau, not far from the Swiss-German border and only 20 minutes from Zurich. Its mineral hot springs have been famous since Roman times and the city is now a Swiss Heritage Site with several impressive landmarks, including the ruins of Stein Castle which date from the 12th Century.

The signing of Swiss-Belhotel International’s inaugural property in Switzerland marks the latest phase of the company’s European expansion strategy. The group also plans to bring its elegant Asian hospitality to guests in Germany, Italy, Georgia and Bulgaria in the coming years.
