The Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka, perfectly situated in the heart of Melaka's historical district, is bursting with pride as we had been selected as the official hotel for Beat The Heat | Petronas - Le Tour de Langkawi 2023. This prestigious event is a highlight on Malaysia's cycling calendar, and we were honored to play a pivotal role in it.
The event took place at the sleepy town of Karak and will take the road less travelled with plenty of greenery along the way. The rolling hills of Pahang and Negeri Sembilan will give the climbers some advantage over the sprinters, but there is no real danger of a major split in the peloton for the stage. The last 10 kilometres took riders through the tourist districts of Malacca, and a fairly technical entry into the finish, with concrete pavers, makes it an interesting end to a long day. The end of Stage 6 witnessed the final and award ceremony held at Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka and staying at the Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka provides a gateway to explore Melaka's historic district.
