Keraton Sambas

In the 17th century, the city was once the seat of government of the Sambas Sultanate. The story of glory can be traced through the Keraton Sambas which is also known as the AlwatzikHoebbillah palace. The Sultanate of Sambas was formerly known as the State of Sambas in 1662 AD and reached the peak of glory in 1757.

Located 2 hours away from Singkawang City, this Keraton or palace consists of seven rooms - hall at the front, the Sultan's bedroom, the Sultan's wife's bedroom, the Sultan's children's bedroom, family room, dining room, and special sewing room.
