Sharjah Art Foundation presents Sharjah Biennial 14: Leaving the Echo Chamber, curated by Zoe Butt, Omar Kholeif and Claire Tancons.
The fourteenth edition of the Sharjah Biennial runs from 7 March to 10 June 2019 around Sharjah, from the city’s heritage quarters and historic neighbourhoods to off-site venues across the emirate, including the coastal Khorfakkan and Al Hamriyah and near the mangroves of Kalba.
SB14’s three curators will each present an exhibition exploring the SB14 theme, Leaving the Echo Chamber. The three exhibitions feature works of over 80 artists with more than 60 new commissions.
Don’t miss one of the world’s leading biennials, which includes exhibitions, performances, film screenings and workshops for people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels.
Every two years since 1993, Sharjah Biennial has presented major new commissions, large-scale public installations, never-before-seen works, performances and films by local, regional and international artists. Sharjah Biennial has been ranked among the world’s most prominent biennials.
Sharjah Biennial is free and open to the public. Visit sharjahart.org to learn more about this year’s edition and to book your free guided tours.
