Swiss-Belhotel International Supports Help@Hand Fundraising Campaign for Safer Communities in New Zealand

Swiss-Belhotel International recently supported a meaningful community initiative in New Zealand through its participation in the Help@Hand national fundraising campaign, an effort dedicated to protecting women and children from domestic violence.

The campaign concluded on 27 February 2026, with the winners announced on 2 March 2026. Through the generous support of individuals, organisations and Women’s Refuges across the country, the initiative successfully raised NZD 36,540.

Funds raised through the campaign will directly support the provision of life-saving safety equipment and 24-hour monitoring services for vulnerable individuals and families. Help@Hand’s innovative safety watch service has demonstrated a significant impact, recording an 89% reduction in domestic violence incidents among participating clients, helping to create safer homes and communities throughout New Zealand.

Swiss-Belhotel International has been a long-standing supporter of the Help@Hand programme and has contributed more than NZD 40,000 in direct cash donations to date. Combined with the luxury holiday prizes provided to support the fundraising campaign, the Group’s overall contribution now exceeds NZD 76,000, reinforcing its commitment to supporting safer communities across New Zealand.

As part of the initiative, Swiss-Belhotel International contributed once-in-a-lifetime holiday prizes hosted at MĀUA Nusa Penida, Bali by Swiss-Belhotel, rewarding the outstanding fundraising achievements of the campaign’s top contributors.

The Top Individual Fundraiser award was presented to Holly Downie, who raised an impressive NZD 2,351. She received a five-night luxury retreat for two at MĀUA Nusa Penida, Bali by Swiss-Belhotel, including a private pool suite, à la carte breakfast, all transfers, and Air New Zealand Business Class flights, with an approximate value of NZD 17,500.

The Top Fundraising Organisation award was presented to Women’s Refuge Tāmaki Makaurau, which collectively raised an outstanding NZD 5,450. Through initiatives such as this, Swiss-Belhotel International continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting community-focused programmes and contributing to meaningful social impact in the regions where it operates.
