#2 Pay a Visit to Arrowtown
Arrowtown is a charming and historic town – culturally rich with its gold mining history the village is nestled below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River. Just a 20 minutes’ drive from Swiss-Belsuites Pounamu, it is the most beautiful little town when the snow is falling. A winter morning in the snow-covered streets of Arrowtown is a photographer’s dream, the town is like an enchanted glittering picturesque landscape. Enjoy its quaint character, boutique shops, restaurants and activities. Wander around the exquisite buildings, popular bars and restaurants or Arrowtown Bakery And Café a firm locals' favourite, the bakery is known for their delicious homemade pies and pastries and the famous nature trails are all part of its charm. It is a must do whilst you are here.
#3 Going to the local ski field is great, but have you experienced Heli Skiing
Seeking the best backcountry powder experience of your life! We suggest taking skiing/snowboarding to a whole new level. Start by choosing your route (Queenstown, Wanaka, Mt Cook – to name a few!) and get ready for a picturesque helicopter flight over some of New Zealand’s most beautiful mountains; then on to the most exciting bit (if you’re a true skier/snowboarder enthusiast), skiing/riding on POWDER! #4 Discover Night Skiing at Coronet Peak
As it turns out, skiing at night shares the same childhood magic, it’s perfectly normal for both young and middle-aged skiers alike to take the field together and make some shadowy turns under the glow of fluorescent lights.
Roughly a 20-minute drive from Queenstown, Coronet Ski Resort offers up affordable skiing. The expanse of Queenstown village lights hanging just out from the mountain make this ski area one of the beautiful snow destinations for night skiing in Queenstown.
So if you have a love skiing/snowboarding, you’ll love it even more when Coronet Peak Ski Field opens its doors afterhours. Every Wed, Fri and Sat night from 29 June to early September (5pm – 9pm), enjoy epic sunsets, watch how the mountain starts to light up slowly as the evening unfolds, with what looks like fairy lights from the distance! enjoy live music by the campfire and a great night with your friends. You will experience the mountain in a whole new way.
#5 Soak up at Onsen Hot Pools!
For those Guests who have spent the day adventuring snow trails and exploring the outdoors, can treat themselves to blissful downtime with an invigorating soak at the Onsen Hot Pools. The destination, is more than one can expect, offering you a luxurious outdoor open-air experience, sits overlooking the Shotover River with exceptionally breathtaking alpine scenery. All you’ll want to do is sit back, relax and unwind.

#6 Skiing is fun, but have you tried skydiving or paragliding over snow-capped mountains?
The winter months (June – September) are a great base to snow launch yourself into an ultimate free flight as we soar over Queenstown. Experience a bird's eye view of Queenstown on a paraglide or skydive flight; you won’t be able to wipe the smile off! If you want a change of scene from the ski slopes, you can take the leap instead and paraglide from the top of Coronet Peak Ski Field or jump from an aeroplane at 15,000ft with a Tandem Skydive. Just another way to enjoy the gorgeous mountains.
#7 Treat Yourself to best food at The Cow
The Cow's rustic ambience and delicious fresh pizza and pasta has been a favourite of locals and visitors alike for over 40 years.
