Swiss-Belhotel Lao Cai Celebrates First Anniversary With Sensational Offer

LAO CAI, VIETNAM: Leading global hotel management chain Swiss-Belhotel International has marked the first anniversary of Swiss-Belhotel Lao Cai in Vietnam with a special promotion for visitors to experience the destination and scenic property.

Located in the historic city of Lao Cai, the four-star international hotel is offering rooms for VD711,000 net per night (USD33). The rate was chosen because '711' relates to the hotel's anniversary - July 11.

The package - available until 20 July 2014 - includes breakfast for two people, WiFi internet access, parking for hotel guests, a 20% discount on the total F&B bill and a 20% discount on the Sapaly train ticket from Lao Cai to Hanoi.

Swiss-Belhotel Lao Cai is elegantly designed to accommodate business and leisure travellers. It blends a contemporary style with traditional touches featuring 186 guest rooms, conference rooms, a business and fitness centre, lobby lounge, and bar and restaurants.

The hotel is strategically located in an area fast emerging as a prime tourism area between Vietnam and China. The Lao Cai-Hekou border crossing is the principal conduit between the two countries, an international checkpoint at the confluence of two rivers, adjoining four provinces between the two Asian dragons.

Its cool climate, hill tribe inhabitants, namely the Black Hmong and Red Dao, and breathtaking scenery make it a popular destination. Other nearby attractions include One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh's stilt house and Mount Fansipan, Vietnam's highest peak.

Lao Cai is also set to assume greater significance as a regional economic and trade hub given its location ahead of the full implementation of ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.

Swiss-Belhotel Lao Cai is the group's second Vietnam property, joining the luxury five-star beachfront Swiss-Belhotel Phan Thiet in scenic Binh Thuan province.

Famed for the professionalism and passion of its staff, Swiss-Belhotel International has more than 120 hotels, resorts and projects in its global portfolio. Voted one of the world's top 100 hotel groups in 2013 by HOTELS Magazine, it has a presence in China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
