Swiss-Belresort Ghantoot is a cultural heritage building that rests on the shores of the Arabian Gulf. It was built many years ago as the guesthouse to the Palace for the ruler of Abu Dhabi and was later converted into a resort for guests to experience local royal tradition, which is prevalent from the lobby to the rooms. The building architecture echoes the tastes of the rich Arabic lifestyle with its golden walls, dome style high ceilings, balconies, and extremely large living spaces.
Just 15 minutes from two large shopping malls in Dubai, this 4-star resort offers a calm and serene environment with its own sandy beach on the blue waters of the Marina. Guests are treated to a relaxing environment with sun beds or varied water activities such as water scooter, banana boats and donut boats.
For those who just want to take a break and enjoy the water, there is a large swimming pool surrounded with sun beds, umbrellas and wooden cabanas with outdoor furniture. Children will have a great time in the kid’s pool and nearby play area, making it easy for parents to monitor. A dedicated snack bar for the pool area and the beach makes it the perfect place to relax all day long.
The resort offers other facilities such as a Health club with state of the art equipment, squash courts, table tennis, billiards and indoors kids club. There are rooms for Steam, Sauna & Jacuzzi and the massages are provided in massage rooms that can be booked in advance.
A complimentary daily shuttle bus service is provided for guests to and from Ibn Batuta Mall and Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.
Swiss-Belresort Ghantoot has been recently refurbished; however, it was ensured that the Arabian flavor is preserved for the guests to experience.

ATTRACTIONS Captivating Contrasts From the timeless tranquillity of the desert to the lively bustle of the souk, Dubai offers a kaleidoscope of attractions for visitors. The emirate embraces a wide variety of scenery in a very small area. In a single day, the tourist can experience everything from rugged mountains and awe-inspiring sand dunes to sandy beaches and lush green parks, from dusty villages to luxurious residential districts and from ancient houses with wind towers to ultra-modern shopping malls. The emirate is both a dynamic international business centre and a laid-back tourist escape; a city where the sophistication of the 21st century walks hand in hand with the simplicity of a bygone era. But these contrasts give Dubai its unique flavour and personality; a cosmopolitan society with an international lifestyle, yet with a culture deeply rooted in the Islamic traditions of Arabia.
OUTSIDE THE CITY From seashore to mountain peaks, Dubai is a land of great natural beauty and variety. The desert, that accounts for much of the emirate’s almost 4,000 sq km area, encompasses rocky plains, high dunes and, between these two extremes, countless combinations of sand, stone and sparse vegetation.
CLIMATE AND GEOGRAPHY Dubai enjoys an arid subtropical climate, with blue skies and sunshine all year round. Temperatures range from lows of 10°C to extreme summer highs of 48°C. The average maximum daily temperature in January is 24°C and the average maximum daily temperature in July is 41°C when humidity is very high.
The hottest months are between June and September, when temperatures can soar to 113°F (45°C) and more during the day and humidity levels are very high. Even the sea temperature touches on 104°F (40°C) during the summer months, and swimming pools at hotels are usually cooled to be refreshing. Temperatures are only slightly more moderate the rest of the year, the coolest time being between December and March. There is very little rainfall in Dubai, but when showers do fall it is mainly in the cooler months.
