Travel Information |
![]() Kuwait, the cradle of one of the most ancient and most-contested corners of the world, is best described as a city state. The burgeoning capital, Kuwait City, is like a magnet: for centuries it has been attracting Bedouin people from the Arabian interior, in search of the sea breeze and an escape from recurring drought. Today the Kuwait shares European weather patterns but is hotter and drier. Summers are hot and humid, while winters are cool with limited rain. Springtime is cool and pleasant. The best time of the year to visit Kuwait, would be the months of November to April, just before or after summer, when the temperature during the day falls below 18 degrees Celsius, and nights are cooler. During February to April the desert is laced with transparent lime green and the city is decorated with petunias, providing a most pleasant feel. Additional Information Visas: Visit Visas are granted to the majority of nationalities and applications are processed by the hotel with nominal charges, subject to approval by the local authorities. Languages: The local language is Arabic; however English is widely used and spoken. Currency: The currency is the Kuwaiti Dinar, which is pegged to the US Dollar. The Kuwaiti Dinar is commonly referred to as KD, when shown in written form such on price tags or menus. Climate: November to February ranging 15C to 20C, March and April ranging from 20C to 30C, June to September temperatures rising up to the maximum of 46C.
